About Me

I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. where I also went to undergrad (shout out to The George Washington University) and law school (another shout out to Howard University School of Law).  Even though I have lived in one place all of my life, I love traveling and seeing the world.  My dream is to retire from the practice of law, travel a lot more and spend some time living abroad.

While most of my friends are buying handbags and shoes, I spend my time planning my next trip. As I write this, I have 3 international trips planned over the next year and at least 3 domestic trips.

Where have I been so far?  Well glad you asked.  My husband and I have been blessed to vacation in Nairobi Kenya, Puntarenas and San José Costa Rica, Jade Mountain St. Lucia, Barcelona Spain, Negril Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Las Vegas, Chicago, New York, New Orleans, Miami and Orlando.

I would describe my “style” of travel as frequent vacationer.  I work hard and when I travel, I prefer that my accommodations meet certain standards.  While I am sure they are great, I am not staying at Hostels, backpacking through the wilderness or sleeping in the wild.  The only time I slept in a “tent” was on Safari in Kenya and it had indoor plumbing.  I will zip line, skydive, hike and travel for a race (Everyone should do at least one Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon in life).  I strive to find a balance between relaxation and exploring a new place.

Hopefully this blog will inspire you to go someplace different with an open mind and experience other cultures.  It’s a great big world out there, go see it while you can.

Peace,

Toni
